I'm sorry, did I not impress the almighty Dickster by not just going out and purchasing an expensive car on a whim instead of planning?

I love M3's but it's too much money to spend on a 3 Series.

especially one that's slower than a stock 16 year old Toyota.

M3 vs Supra.

Barely. And the Supra was made out to be some crappy asian muscle car. I'd like to see track results of them.

Still for a 16 year old car to be neck and neck with a 2009 car is pretty impressive.

For half the price of the M3 I'd rather get an HSV GTS.

Not exactly. BMW doesn't go all-out on these cars for a reason (profit), just like almost all other car companies. There are physical limits on these things and no one wants to get their too fast. BMW does F1, so don't think they don't know what they're doing.

Also, what about the people with 30+ year old american muscle cars that are sporting 1000HP and more? Pretty good that those would hold up against a Supra?

We're talking about stock vs stock not modded. Because there are 1200hp Supras going around.

Meh. Looks like it's "trying too hard" IMO and overdone.

Also, the M3 is pulling 0-60 in low 4's. That HSV GTS barely breaks 5.0.
