I went and watched 1000BC on the Ultra Screen
The UltraScreens®, with razor sharp three-story tall picture, crystal clear digital sound and comfortable stadium seats are Marcus movie magic at its best.
The UltraScreens® take moviegoing to a totally a new level of excitement that can never be experienced at home. The UltraScreens® are more than 500 times bigger than a typical 19”television screen.
Wanted to see the movie because I figured it would look badass, didn't care about the story much or anything else but thought it would look great on a large screen.

Anyway, picture seemed fuzzy the entire time and overall quality of the picture sucked ass. It'll probably look (most likely definitely) look better at home in blu-ray or whatever when it finally comes out.

Has anyone noticed anything like this at theaters? HD is making me unimpressed with theater movies :dunno:

could have just been a goof on the theaters part. i don't go to the theater often but when i do, i try to go to digital screenings because they alway looks so much better.

I'm pretty sure it was just the way the theater was, i'll start looking for digital screenings, never really thought of that.

i go to a place called muvico. don't know if you have em' where you live, but the one i go to has balcony seating where you sit on a couch and you can order food from their restaurant and beer! it's awesome. it's more expensive but well worth it. nobody kicks your seat and none of the losers will pay the extra cash so it's usually pretty nice :)

We have a sundance theater here, early releases and shit like that. Assigned seats and all, you can have beer or wine in there. The uppity bitch that sat next to me was the most annoying thing i've never sat next to, constantly making noise and shit. And the fact that the seats are assigned meant to many people that they should walk in ten minutes late.

Wasn't a great experience for me, your place sounds better than that.
