HALL MONITOR - FINAL VOTE - GO BIG OR GO HOME

The person who receives the most votes wins. You can only vote for one person. Vote for who you want to be the hall monitor.

As some of you might remember, we made a thread the other day asking for those interested in being a mod. Well we're currently looking at all those who posted, and we'll have a list to you shortly.

What are we gonna do with this list? We're going to post it, and those members will have time to "campaign" to be hall monitor. Then, on a specified date (Nov 4th anyone?), the USERS will decide who they want to be their hall monitor. Please keep in mind that the admins have the final say, and we have the right to remove anyone from consideration at any time.

What is hall monitor? Hall monitor is a TEMPORARY moderator for the offtopic forum. You will have lock, edit, delete access, the main tools in any moderator's arsenal. You won't have access to the moderator forum. Sorry, you'll get over it though. If you break any rules, you will be immediately stripped of hall monitor, and depending on how bad you fuck up, you will probably be banned. We're hoping that those elected to be hall monitors actually want to be them, and don't want to lose their rights. If not, oh well we'll just ban you.

How long? The elected hall monitor will have a term of approximately 1 month. Depending on how it works out, we will hold elections every month, or every two months. We don't want to flood the board with useless campaigning.

Campaigning? Yes, unless you're very confident you'll get voted, you'll probably want the users to have a reason to vote for you. YOU ARE LIMITED TO 1 CAMPAIGNING THREAD A DAY. You cannot make anymore or you will be DISQUALIFIED. The other nominees will gladly rat you out. Also, you can feel free to make passing comments in threads, adding a little "vote for me", etc., but you may not SPAM threads. You should have enough common sense to be able to know the difference. If not, just don't do it, moron.

Wait, what? Yep, I have no idea either. If you want any clarifications or have any questions, post in here. When the list is finalized (give us 24 hours), we will append it to this post.

This is obviously a completely new idea, and it will need some tweaking.

Most importantly, good luck and have fun.

I should add that this thread is not the place to try and be considered for Hall Monitor. If you didn't post in the thread earlier this week, you have no chance this election. Sorry. There's always next time.
