i decided to make granola today.. it's really cheap/simple, and it is a good healthy snack
you will need

3 cups rolled oats (oatmeal, but not the quick cook kind)
1/4 cup veg oil
1/4 cup maple syrup (more or less, depending how sticky you like it ;))
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup almonds (you can mix it up with any kind of nuts
3/4 teas salt
1 cup raisins (not included in my version)
1/2 teas cinnamon
1/4 teas nutmeg
first,

mix up the oats, brn sugar and nuts. NOT raisins.

in a separate bowl, mix the oil, maple syrup and salt.
combine the two mixtures well

add the cinnamon and nutmeg and mix again.

spread that bitch out!
place in a preheated oven at 250. Leave in for about an hour
if you want raisins in em, you put them after and mix it up
