Actually we are headed towards a communist state... don't believe me?

The ten things necessary for communism to take hold taken directly from the Communist Manifesto written by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels:

1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes.
2. A heavy progressive or graduated income tax.
3. Abolition of all right of inheritance.
4. Confiscation of the property of all emigrants and rebels.
5. Centralisation of credit in the hands of the State, by means of a national bank with State capital and an exclusive monopoly.
6. Centralisation of the means of communication and transport in the hands of the State.
7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan.
8. Equal liability of all to labour. Establishment of industrial armies, especially for agriculture.
9. Combination of agriculture with manufacturing industries; gradual abolition of the distinction between town and country, by a more equable distribution of the population over the country.
10. Free education for all children in public schools. Abolition of children's factory labour in its present form. Combination of education with industrial production, &c., &c.

Well, I copied it from MS Word, and it copied over in black. But it is hard to read in the dark fantasy format. So I went with red which can be read in both.

I counted 5. :ugh:Well? Let's see 'em.

#10 does exist almost in entirety, though there is no clear definition of "child labor". Does it mean pre-adolescents, or just minors? I'll ASSume it meant younger kids, say 8-up.
Although many farm kids start working as soon as they learn to walk...so Marx has a ways to go.

I'll give you #10, the rest you'll have to prove.

#1 eminent domain?

#2 is in effect.

#3 inheritence is taxed heavily

#4 see #1

#5 has been started with the take over of FNMA/FHLMC (FannieMae/FreddieMac)

#6 the government now sponsers a free cell-phone program for impoverished people

#7 ...

#8 ...

#9 ...

#10 the prospect of "vouchers" to send kids to private schools. which means gov't is funding private school tuition.

Him.... so wait, whats the problem with free education? Well educated people are more likely to resist a change of government and to stand up for their rights, than ignorant retards.

#1 eminent domain? That hardly consitutes "all land". Besides, there are similar statutes in every country on the planet, communist and otherwise

#2 is in effect.I'll give you the "graduated income tax", but "heavy" is subjective. Compared to European nations tax-wise, we get off pretty cheap.

#3 inheritence is taxed heavilyYes, but that doesn't signify "abolition of ALL rights of inheritance". Nice try.

#4 see #1 So, everyone that leaves the country to live elsewhere has all their property taken? Everyone who speaks against the government loses everything? Bullshit.

#5 has been started with the take over of FNMA/FHLMC (FannieMae/FreddieMac) So, a bailout constitutes a takeover? So, when Chrysler got bailed out in the '80s, they became Federal property? Not quite.

#6 the government now sponsers a free cell-phone program for impoverished people That's welfare, a Leftist thing to be sure, but not "confiscation of ALL means of communication".

#7 ...

#8 ...

#9 ...

#10 the prospect of "vouchers" to send kids to private schools. which means gov't is funding private school tuition. So, all kids are forced into public schools? No, they are not. Dream on.
