In this thread, you will discuss who you stand for and why. Explain your pros/cons about your candidate of choice, his/her policies, etc. Let's see who NN stands for!

LP party candidate, whoever that will be

At this point... who gives a shit. It's like voting between Stalin or Hitler. No one's gonna be what this country needs, so why even vote. I could vote for the LP candidate, but #1, it's not gonna make much difference anyway and 2, I think I will have something more important to do that day.

Ralph Nader is better than all of those, but even he makes me :ugh:

None of the above.

I'll probably "strategically" vote, or vote for the LP candidate.

Give me 5 valid reasons he should be in office.

and dont give me this "He's gonna get rid of the IRS!!!"

give me 5 valid reasons he can actually pull off in 4-8 years

One of the above will be President. If "None of the Above" could be president, it would be up there. You are free to discuss anything related to the topic, but the sense of the thread is to see which one of the available candidates you stand for. You can say none if you wish, but then again, you can also limit your options down to one of the 4 you would most like to see President. That's fine if you don't stand for any of them, but given the circumstances, vote for the one you most like.

BrownWalrus
03-09-2008, 04:54 PM
None of the Above would be a simple option, but again, that's not the point here. I am basically asking you to force yourself to choose one of the above, the one you lean towards most.

The last decent presidential candidate was Richard Lamm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Lamm), and he didn't even win the nomination of a third party. That was 12 years ago. 12 fucking years without a decent candidate.

My balls. All talk. He will sellout. Even though Ron Paul sounds very whiny, I think he would be the best leader based on his basic principles. Specifically non-involvement with other nations. It IS what the founders warned against.

I won't vote for Barrack because he's a phony, anti-gun, anti-american, libtard.

I won't vote for Hillary because she's a socialist, anti-gun, woman, libtard.

I won't vote for McCain because he's a libtard in Conservative clothing.

I voted for Ron Paul in the primary and hope a real 3rd party candidate shows up.

I see Obama is winning the poll so far, but I can't figure out why.

He is Anti-Gun, asking for bans on Conceal carry, Ammunition and supports the DC gunban.

He wants to socialize medicine, which is just another hand out and will raise your taxes THOUSANDS of dollars because a 'few' people are too cheap or under educated and can't afford real health care.

He's a Racist and his church proves it. You don't sit down and listen to the same pastor for 20 years, the guy that married you, baptized your children and the like, without picking up some of his anti-white, anti-american views or at least AGREE with him because Obama went and kept going back for 20 years.

He doesn't even have a real record as he just got into the game.

So blacks are voting for him because he's black, whites are voting for him because if they don't then they're racists and people that love welfare handouts are voting for him because they want to be even larger leeches on society.

If you can't see that McCain would be more Bush than we fail as a species.

:werd: but unfortunately ppl are that hardheaded and stupid.

This is why being a staunch Republican or Democrat is for idiots and sheep. Dumb sheep can't see the forest thru the trees. They care more about ideologies and politics, than people or the country. You have to be flexible and see some things the Dems are right on, some things the Repubs are right on; and vote with the times, and the pressing issues in a particular election. In this case, the Repubs are so out of touch with the state of the country and world, it's scary. Sane people will realize we need anything but 4 more years of a Bush Presidency.

By Change, you mean imposing Shira law and taking away our Guns, socializing health care and furthering the socialistic welfare state that democrats want so badly? Who needs the constitution anyway?

Do you really want a mad bitch when on her Rag?

Do you really want a black guy telling the white men what to do? (what is this world coming to?)

Don't really know anything about that other candidate lol.

As much as I'd like a Democrat for next president, i feel McCain can clean up a lot of crap that Bush has done. Plus i'm all about more money for troops (devil dog here, raise the roof). We don't really know how a democrat would act with this war going on. Look at Bill Clinton, he had Osama in cuffs and couldn't even terminate him. But no, let me be a fking democrat and just make him not be able to come into our country again. That really is the RIGHT thing to do. Pffftt... epic fail.
