I'll be looking to buy a car in about a month or two, and I've pretty narrowed it down to one of two things. I'm either going to buy a MkIV Supra or an E46 M3. The car will be my daily driver. I had an N/A 5-Speed Hardtop Supra previously. If I got another one it would be a Turbo 6-Speed Targa Top.

So what does NN think?

Both nice cars, but I would think the M3 would be more comfy and practical for a DD.

M3 is infinitely classier. Plus, the entire Supra market is still incredibly inflated because of F&F. I would say you will get much more for your money with the BMW.

More than anything I'd get another Supra for sentimental reasons since I got cheated outta my last one. Some asshat cut me off on the interstate and I ended up in a wall at about 80, needless to say the car was totaled. I am definitely leaning more and more towards the bimmer though. It is a lot more practical, and having an actual trunk will be nice.

i'd go supra. it's going to go down as a classic.
sure the M3 is nice, but i have a soft spot for the TT supra.

Pussy dont care what you drive so long as you know how to treat it.:hsugh: come on now. not many girls want to get out of a loud ass turboed race car over a bmw. besides, generally people look at a bmw > toyota.

don't get me wrong, both of them would be cool.

I've got the same soft spot, but truth be told, if I get a Supra, I'm going to have to dump a lot of money into it, either buying it or refurbing it. Obviously they're harder to find. Down the road when I can afford to get one and make it the 1200 hp beast it deserves to be, I will. But for now, I'm pretty sure I'm going with the BMW.

:werd: only enthusiasts will appreciate what a Supra is. Or I'll get those "Is that a Celica?" questions  Where as more people look at anyone that drives a BMW as being well off.

I shit you not, I've gotten that one, and a friend of mine had a 6th gen Celica with GT-Four Raiser blocks on his wing and was constantly getting "Is that a Supra?" or "Hey man, I like your Supra"

i picked the m3. nobody wants to pay 20k for a 14 year old car; granted its the queen of the dyno and only a handful perform at the track. but the m3 is a much nicer car.
