I have always, ALWAYS had a hard-on for Elises/Exiges, and some of them are coming down in price. I know there are kick-ass alternatives for the price, but these cars are just so sexy:

There is and Elise I see on a pretty regular basis out in town, it's British Racing Green. Kinda nice to see something different, instead of all the Silvias, Skylines and the like. :bigthumb:

I love em. I saw a silver/tan one having a turbo installed awhile back but no pichas.
They're beautiful and amazing but incredibly impractical so....I mean of course it would be great if you don't need room for anything and don't mind it being stripped out. Great 2nd car otherwise.

A guy local to me has one of the Sport Elises, the yellow one with silver stripes, one of 50. Constantly at the track. Decided to turbocharge it, hes making 375hp or so now. Problem is the damn thing gets so hot he has to put a wet towel in the trunk to keep it from melting the paint off! :rofl:

No 1/4 mile times, all HPDE stuff. He is easily the fastest guy around the track though, besting most E36 M3 prepared race cars.

heres my friends Esprit before he was making over 400 at the wheels...the meth kit then was robbing him power down to ~360whp. and the blue vette makes a little over 650rwhp

theres another vid of him taking down an f430 somewhere, and another of him running just the vette from inside the vette. the vette obviously pulled on him, but was only inching forward, not running away.

so much for your slow POS Lotus's philosophy Nick. oh, and maybe you didnt know, but Chevrolet hired out to Lotus Group on the ZR1 Corvette to re-work the heads and a couple other things on the LT5 engines...and those engines might as well be considered modern marvels for how bad ass they are and were for there time

TT Esprit? not really....they weren't worth buying until after about 2001. they got a hold on a lot of the issues the previous ones had. and a good condition well maintained (if its not well maintained you dont want it...they are very finicky cars) is easily ~75k iirc in a normal market
