So after highschool I became alot less active and people have been saying im getting fat now etc... used to be 5"9 180lb now im about 220lb(im being generous) growing a fucken potbelly. So I want to hit the gym and get committed I dont even know where to start.

Ill be going to the gym mon-thurs, Ive been told just start running alot.

Currently im eating fast food everyday addicted to drinking soda, I can stop the fast food but its going to be hard to stop soda for water, is gatorade a alternative ?lol.

Quit being a pussy. If you can't stop drinking soda then it is going to take you a long fucking time to get to where you want if you even get there. Look up a routine and stick by it.

1. start eating clean. Learn to love chicken and tuna
2. drink water. Don't drink soda/alcohol
3. cardio
4. cardio
5. don't forget to keep lifting.
6. stick with your routine. The first week or two is going to be the worst. Just get over the hump and stick with it.

water
protein
a little cardio
lift heavy at least 3 times a week making sure you are devoting a good chuck of time to squatting, deadlifting and heavy pressing (shoulder, bench) and rowing - heavy compound movements make you grow

You mostly need to switch up your diet. I can barely eat fast food anymore. It feels really good at the time, but I feel so gross afterward. It's like having sex with a fat girl.

Nutrition
1. Replace water with soda and drink lots of it
2. Complex carbs like brown rice instead of simple carbs like bread
3. Healthy fat sources like almonds, peanut butter, fish oil, etc
4. High protein/low carb meal every 3 hours

Workout
Run 4 days a week, lift 3 days a week. Full body workouts each time, every other day. Run on your non-lifting days.
