Ghetto light studio setup on my desk. Some pieces of my sketchbook for a background, a porta-trace as the lighting, AND SKILLZ TO PAY THE BILLZ!

I used to work for a company that sold high-end model cars.
The Skyline, Countach & Miura are from AutoArt and run about $90. The Camaro is from ExactDetail and is a limited, numbered model which went for $140. Interior has leather, wheels have the authentic treads and the trunk has some detailing. I have a few others in the same category.
I didn't pay near those prices tho. ;)

pics of the setup?
I remember having a photo of it. But in a nutshell picture this:
- Couple pieces of large format paper an a curved "L" shape sitting on my desk
- Camera & tripod with remote trigger in one hand
- Other hand holding a porta-trace above the scene

Most of the post work is cropping and getting rid of the seam of the pieces of paper in the background.

Those are dope skills that could possibly pay the bills.
P.S. Dope porta trace. I kinda want one.

That's pretty handy. I made a tiny setup with 3x5 note-cards to take macro's before  Just used sunlight from the window too :oopsie:
it was pretty much the most badass studio ever.

I want to clarify that the photo is not of MY porta-trace. I don't do that arts & crafts shit.

get a clue about photography before you make idiotic statements.

oooh ok, next time i see someone who has more internet message board power than me i'll be sure to let them continue with their nonsensical statement. :bigthumb:
on a completely non-sarcastic and 100% serious note, I do dig your pics... you've got some talent. if you're not a photographer for a living, maybe you should look into pursuing it.
EDIT: sorry tryfuhl, this was one of those "cock" posts i was talking about. :p (http://forums.nonewbs.com/member.php?u=413)

Thanks for the comments. I do it for fun. Sometimes I get a job for money, but I don't persue it.
