I just got lvl 70 like a few days ago, I've played both PC and Ps2 versions since release. Quit for a few years and came back in january. Ask me if you have any doubts or questions

yes, 30 days free. And if you put me as a reference we both get a special item that alows us to lvl faster. (lvling is EXTREMELY hard in FFXI, you can also NOT solo after lvl 10, unless you are a beast master)

i can see my RDM being able to solo decent till lvl 20... but yeah, soloing = no after the early lvls

played since the NA release quit a few months after ToAU came out when the crafting system offically broke on pandy. Had a lot of fun lvling up, end game not so much

what were your guys crafts? i had
wood 70+1+lumberjack
cloth 52 +1
alchemy 56
smithing 28
fishing 23 + gear
everything else was atlest 10+

rdm/nin is a duoing machine post lvl 24 but im guessin you dont have sj or nin unlocked yet

Yes, RDM/NIN can solo pretty much any thing, I've seen videos of one soloing a god. But you better have some mad skill and godly gear. But you dont want to solo RDM/NIN to 75, that would just be stupid.

Also, I don't do crafts. I supply all the raw materials to the crafters in the game. Gets me pretty decent gil.

I do want to take up woodworking though :dunno:

crafting is pretty much a money sink i wouldnt do it if all you care about is making gil.
making hq gear for your ls and running around in your apron while your ls mates ride your nuts trying to get you to make them stuff is what makes it worthwhile imo

then this isnt for you ive been in exp ptys that have lasted 15hrs + and only gain like 4 lvls thats 65+ though

QFT, I got to 70, and I rather lvl new jobs. Xping is so easy/fun as a low lvl.

:werd: after i got brd up i sold all my brd gear and bought the most baller rng gear i could find and lvled that as rng/war i remember at 33 in the shitadel i was dealing 500+ barrages and 300+ WS's not even using food with holy bolts and whatever the hq xbow for that lvl is

i remember playing ffxi when it first came out, i got to yutunga jungle (i think it's called) on my DK and was like "fuck this grind" and peaced

lvling doesnt really get that fun till 40+ when you start getting good abilities

Actually its not 30 days free, you pay 1.99 for the disk then you pay 12 dollars for a content id, so it sends up being 14 dollars for 30 days... which is the same as the sub so...
