8.add the onions
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4256.jpg
9. set for 4 hours on high
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4258.jpg
10.time to prep beef. make sure its a roast, steak wont work
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4259.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4260.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4261.jpg
11. cut into 4 peices, or more if you choose. take note that the grain of the meat goes from left to right, you are going to cut across the grain
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4262.jpg
12. place meat in slow cooker, make sure that the meat can be submerged into the water, hot suace and onion mixture so ti can cook evenly.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4263.jpg
13. let sit for 3.5 hours
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4264.jpg
14. stir every so often to make sure the meat get cooked evenly
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4265.jpg
15. after 3.5 hours take a piece of meat out to "pull apart" if it shreds easily with a fork you are good to go. if not let the meat cook for the rest of the cooking time set on the slow cooker
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4266.jpg
16. if the meat can shred take the remaining pieces out of the slow cooker and drain the mixture into a collader, you will use the onions in the sammich.
17. after the meat has been shredded place back into the slow cooker
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4267.jpg
18. add the onions back into the slow cooker and stir to mix evenly
19. grab you BBQ sauce, i recommend a sweet sauce. something with a base of brown sugar or honey.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4268.jpg
20. mix in the bbq sauce, the full bottle is recommended for this, you want to evenly soak the meat but not have a liquidey mess either.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4270.jpg
21. I added a lil bit "extra something" to the mixture
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4269.jpg
if you choose to do this about a half a shot per 2lbs
22. make sure all the meat is evenly coated with the BBQ sauce
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4271.jpg
23. cook on low for another 30-60 minutes to let the BBQ sauce soak into the meat
24. serve on a bun for a sammich!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v234/sparxxx98/IMG_4272.jpg
Total time to prep the food: approx. 10-15
total cook time: 3.5-5 hours
depending on the meat you can have 2-5lbs of bbq
Enjoy:wavey:
Edit: All in all, it cost me less than 18 dollars for the meat, bbq sauce, onion, and the corn for a full dinner. I have lots of left overs too for lunch and shit like that.
