Cliffs: Lost 20 lbs so far just eating healthy and moderate exercise. Is there something else I can do to lose fat in a quicker way?

About 2 months ago I weighed in at about 250 lbs... mostly fat as I'm 6'2" and not big in any way.

Well I decided to hit the gym and I've lost almsot 20 lbs, but maybe I could be doing better, which I hope you brotatos can give me advice on.

Please let me know what can I adjust in my diet or exercise plan to accomplish my goal of being lean and decently cut.

Diet:

6am: Quaker Oats Gronala Bar, Peanut Butter flavor (100 cal or so)
8am: Whole grain cereal with skim milk (about 200-250 cal total)
10am: 1 Kiwi and some water with Centrum 1 a day vitamins and fish oil pills
12pm: publix wheat wrap with turkey, some muenster cheese, lettuce, tomato, green peppers, and onion with salt and pepper
2pm: green tea no sugar
4pm: a banana
6pm: Kashi Granola bar
8pm: dinner would be fish, wheat pasta with tuna, or something else thats rather light with veggies
10pm: low calorie italian ice (about 60 cal)

I try to follow that schedule as much as I can as it offers food through out the day, I'm not hungry, the end result isn't high in calories, and it seems to cover plenty of nutrients. I do cheat every once in a while but it's rare as I'm pretty good in being strict with my diets.

I drink about 2+ liters of water a day. I don't take any other supplements other than the centrum and fish oil. I don't know if I should be taking protein at the moment as I'm trying to lose fat.

Exercise
I exercise about 4-5 times a week but now that school starts today I don't know if I'll be doing as much. If I can't make the gym on the days I have school then I will be going into my pool for about 30 min every night before bed and just swim laps.

I try to train 2 muscle groups everyday I'm at the gym. I do so by lifting weights till I reach muscle failure then I lower the weight and do it some more. I try to do different muscles that compliment eachother such as triceps and chest, etc.

After working out I do cardio on the elliptical machine on the hill setting with a decent level of resistance. After cardio I start hitting the punching bags.

My boxing workout includes about 15-30 minutes of speed bag. Then about 15-30 min on a heavy bag. Finallay I finish up with a mixture of speed bags, medium bags, and heavy bags.

After my workout I drink plenty of water and usually have built up an appetite so I either have a granola bar or a small meal with some tuna.

So, are there any supplements I could be taking to increasemy results? Does this diet seem to be on the right track or should I adjust something? I have lost weight and lost fat as many people have complimented me. My pants seem a little on the loose side so I guess it's all working.

Could you be a little more specific as to what I should change?

You mentioned eating less carbs, so what should I cut out? The gronola bars? And If I cut those out, what should I be replacing them with?

I only cook in olive oil and I make sure everything I eat it is low in trans fat but contains only (or high in) polysaturated and monosaturated fats.

So what could I eat that is high in protein?

Your 6am and 8am are too high in carbs. I would suggest oatmeal at 7am to replace both meals.
I would have grilled chicken salad around 3pm. small one is fine.
No banana, have watermellon.
I wouldnt eat the italian ice that late. if you want something sweet, go for more watermellon.

you should be good.

Reason I picked wheat cereal over oatmeal is that I like the taste so much more. I really can't stand the taste of oatmeal as an everyday food.

I wake up at 5:30-6am everyday to get to work thats about 1 hour away. Thus I feel like I need to start getting my metabolism started so I eat the granola bar then the cereal once I get to work. 7am I'm usually on the road. So I'm not sure on how to really tackle this one.

I'm not a huge fan of watermelon but it's ok. I will take your advice and change it around a little. Currently most of Miami is closed down due to the hurricane so the next chance I get to go to the market I'll get me some watermelon slices.

As for the grilled chicken sandwich, is it really a big difference to a wheat turkey wrap? If it's not much of a difference, I will like to stick with the wrap as I'm not a huge salad fan. But if the difference will be huge long term then I guess I can make a small sacrifice.

replace the granola bar and the cereal with eggs, beef, ham and cheese omelette, etc.

keep all your carb intake close to the time pre and post workout, other than that try to eat just fiberous green veggies, protein and healthy fats

sugar is your weight loss enemy, minimize it as much as possible
