Night of the Living Dead (1968)

Duane Jones - Ben
Judith O'Dea - Barbra
Karl Hardman - Harry Cooper
Marilyn Eastman - Helen Cooper / Bug-eating zombie
Keith Wayne - Tom
Judith Ridley - Judy
Kyra Schon - Karen Cooper

IMDB (http://imdb.com/title/tt0063350/)

"They're coming to get you, Barbara, there's one of them now!", and with that line let the flesh eating begin! A returning NASA satellite is filled with enough radiation to wake the brains of the dead. An unlikely group of people are trapped in a farm house and have to rely on each other to fight of hordes of flesh eating zombies.

Yea I know Im a little behind on this one and Im sure most of you have seen it already, but, wow what a movie. It starts a little slow, but once you get hooked on the characters and what will happen next you cant stop watching.

While you can see most of the plot twits coming through extreme foreshadowing and seeing so many of these types of movies before its still good to see an original, and its refreshing to be able to not be so engrossed in trying to figure everything out.

Like I said up there the foreshadowing was very obvious but refreshing, like how the parents were all worried about telling that the little girl was sick. But Ben being killed in the end still does it for me lol. Great twist even if I called it as soon as they started walking towards the house, I still was like "No they cant kill him with all he has been through :ohnoes:"

Most definatly, it may not be the most exciting movie but I like it because of what it is.

its just a classic movie that started the zombie genre. it is pretty slow though but any zombie fan should watch it once

I prefer the 80's remake. Actually, the remake is my favorite zombie movie of all time. It's almost the exact same movie, not like most remakes that imo are really ridiculous.
The 80s version wins for me because
1. it's in color
2. I like the zombies better

both are pretty good tho.

I like black and white movies for the classics. One of my favorite movies of all time is the original All Quite on the Western Front.
