I have been play this guys and its a pretty good game. Not quite like other mmorpgs in a since that it is street fight meets anime + MMORPG. You pound buttons to do special attacks while casting spells. The game, however; is most fun when you have a group of regular players. Let me get you guys some info and links...

Lunia: Record of Lunia War (often referred to simply as Lunia) is a 3D, isometric Massive Multiplayer online role-playing game (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMORPG) developed by Korean company allm (http://www.allm.co.kr/), and published in North America by CDC Games USA, in Taiwan by Chinese Gamer, and in South Korea by Nexon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nexon). [1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunia#cite_note-0) Lunia's global release is being run by CDCGames USA at their 12FootTall game portal.[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunia#cite_note-1) . The game aims to offer a new style of gameplay differing from most MMORPGs by mixing elements of action games (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_games) and RPGs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Computer_role-playing_game) together.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunia#cite_note-2)

6 Notes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lunia#Notes)[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lunia:_Record_of_Lunia_War&action=edit&section=1)] Gameplay

Lunia, in contrast to many MMORPGs currently on the market, is played much like an action arcade game. The player is free to move around ingame using the arrow keys or a gamepad rather than a mouse cursor (freeing the user from the typical point and click (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Point_and_click) method). Instead of clicking on an enemy to attack, varying attacks are launched by pressing combinations of two attack buttons and the space bar. The two attack keys act a normal attack and a "super" attack. The space bar, is used as the down attack/finisher, against opponents who are on the ground. Attacks can be chained together into combos, which are based on the timing, combination, and order of the attack buttons pressed. In addition, special skills and items can be put as hotkeys (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keyboard_shortcut) to be used more conveniently as separate attacks or in combos. Lunia does not restrict its skill hotkeys to the function keys (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Function_keys) (F1-F9) which allows the user to fully customize and adapt the game controls to his/her liking.

[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lunia:_Record_of_Lunia_War&action=edit&section=2)] PvP

Lunia offers several player versus player (PvP) arenas that allow 1 on 1 to 4 on 4 combat. Allm has stated plans to eventually support 16 on 16 matches. Some PvP arenas are offered seasonally like the unique Snowman Fight which allows players to don Snowman suits and fight each other with whimsical snowballs of various sizes and special effects.

[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lunia:_Record_of_Lunia_War&action=edit&section=3)] Classes

Currently, Lunia's English North America version features four distinct character classes: the Knight (Sieg), the Healer (Eir), the Thief (Tia), and the Wizard (Dainn). Each of these classes offer a distinctly different play style for each person, and character abilities can be customized through the use of skill points that the player earns when attaining a new level. CDC Games USA the North America publisher of Lunia has stated that more characters will be released throughout 2008 and 2009.
Sieg Helmont (the Knight): is the basic melee class, which specializes in speedy and continuous attacking. Sieg is adept at chaining attacks together into combos. He also has a large amount of vitality compared to the other classes, and as such can withstand close-quarters engagement more easily. Essentially, the Knight plays the part of the traditional tank (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_%28computer_gaming%29) of online games. Sieg is available in every version of Lunia.
Eir Peltrow (the Healer) is a support class, capable of healing and supporting other party members. Her attacking skills are relatively weak against monsters in comparison to the other three classes, but quite strong against other players in PvP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Player_versus_player) combat because they delay or push away the target (or otherwise allow Eir the chance to escape and heal). If forced into fighting melee, Eir is also able to defend herself by striking with her wand. Eir is available in every version of Lunia.
Dainn Crowley (the Wizard): is a damage-dealing "crowd control" class that attacks usually from afar using various magic spells and items. His melee combos are weaker than those of the other two classes, but he can chain into powerful multi-hit spells which are often far more devastating. Dainn possesses the most diverse variety of skills, as he is able to master many different skills in three different elements (fire, ice, and earth). Dainn is available in every version of Lunia.
Tia (The Thief): A thief, is suitable for players with excellent reflexes and expert timing. Tia's skills allow her to leap around the battlefield and make pinpoint assaults, escaping virtually unscathed. She can not only attack very fast and cause massive damage to enemies via combo attacks, but she also has the ability to poison enemies. Tia's poison works on both monsters and bosses and slowly drains their HP. Tia is available in every version of Lunia.

The following characters are not yet available in the North America version of the game, but are available in other versions (Allm plans to release other characters in 2008 and 2009):

Dacy Dalstrin (The Puppeteer): A puppeteer or "summoner", is suitable for players who enjoy the role of the strategist. She has the ability to summon various puppets to attack and defend on her behalf. Dacy's puppets are controlled via a special menu. Each puppet has a variety of attacks that can be executed when you click a button on the Summon Menu. The puppets can also be controlled using special hotkeys. Dacy is currently available in the Korean and Taiwanese versions of Lunia.
Lime (Combat Slime): A slime shapeshifter. This character requires special conditions in the game account to be satisfied before a player is allowed to play as him. Lime's play requires a player to be familiar with his various forms. Unfortunately Lime is also very slow at almost everything he does. However he does have a skill which increases his speed. Lime is currently available in the Korean and Japanese versions of Lunia.
Krieg (The Paladin): Krieg is a new character only available in the Korean Lunia's test server. Krieg is a double-hammer wielding "tank" class. Krieg can deal and withstand massive damage, but being a holy knight, he can also heal himself and others which separates him from the strictly melee Tia and Sieg. Krieg is still under development, which means he may end up different when officially released.

[edit (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lunia:_Record_of_Lunia_War&action=edit&section=4)] Episodes

Lunia: Record of Lunia War consists of a series of loosely related episodes which are further separated into stages. Each episode is set in a Lunia, but the episodes' settings are unique. Episode One has the player traveling through a temperate environment while Episode Two brings the player to a winter forest. Currently the North America version of Lunia has four Episodes. Allm has plans for at least 6 episodes.
Each episode's plot is unique but related to the overall story.
Lunia also features several side stages that offer players several mini-adventures and fun activities.

Its not.. It is like street fighter. You don't even use the mouse and each stage is story driven with dialog animation after the completion of each level with your party. The characters talk to you while you are beating certain area's of the map.

Here is a pretty fair review on the game..

It's time for a review of a fairly popular MMORPG, Lunia. Lunia is a 3-D, isometric, arcade-style MMORPG developed by a Korean company known as Allm. It's published by gameNgame and Nexon, known as the publisher of MapleStory. The game is based off of "Stages' rather than a free-roam RPG. The player is faced with certain challenges in each stage, followed by a monster boss at the end. Eventually, when a player completes every stage, you have the option of repeating each stage that has increased difficulty. Currently, Lunia open beta features only three distinct character classes: the Knight (Sieg), the Healer (Eir), and the Wizard (Dainn). Each of these classes offer a distinctly different play style for each person, and builds can be customized through the use of skill points that the player earns when attaining a new level. Sieg Helmont (Knight) is the main tanker of the game and offers a variety of sword skills that inflict tons of damage to the enemy. Eir Peltrow is the main healer of the game, consisting of various healing and buffing skills which makes this class a definite must in harder stages of the game. Dainn Crowley is the wizard class of the game offering deadly magic skills which inflict the most damage. Having a party of one of each class, or two wizards and a healer is a party I recommend. However (from articles I have read from mmosite), there are talks of a new character coming in the newest patch, followed by a "lite" version of Lunia, which is mainly a version of Lunia with no violence, which is safe for all ages to play. More information about the newest character will be revealed Dec. 20th. The game offers controls which anyone can become used to - even on the first level! The basic keys are: a, s, and the spacebar. There are also hotkeys which can be used to use potions and skills faster, which is a definite must. (Just like every other RPG!) Now, it's time for my ratings.

Gameplay: 7.5/10

The stages are great! However, once you complete them all, you can do them all over again, but harder. So if you don't like to play the same stage again, I wouldn't recommend trying this.

Graphics: 8.5/10

The graphics are very cartoonish, but still pack a big punch when it comes to graphics. If you can handle them on max, it's pretty good for this type of MMO. The camera angles are also stunning and perfect when you are in combat. The camera also tends to zoom-in when you do a combo which adds to the intensity and action.

Sound: 8.5/10

The sound is very decent, ranging from the voices of each character, to the music playing in the background. This game have very appropriate and well sounding music in this game.

Community: 6.5/10

Now, this is where the game strikes-out. The community has lots of people who tend to be cruel to new players, often referring to them as "noobs." Remember, kids younger than you probably play this game, and are still becoming men, so they might still act a little crazy now and again.

Overall, this game is a pretty decent MMORPG. It's one of the most unique of the year, and I would say that this is worth the download. I recommend this game to people who love games in which that parties are a must, and who love violence, without the blood and gore. I hope you enjoyed this review! Until the next blog!

Sincerely,

Phaux

All you do is beat the game like it is a single player game with other players. Once you advance through story mode the game sucks but up until then :bigthumb:

What level are you?

Soymilk
04-07-2008, 11:45 AM
didnt get very far, i was like level three. the game's pretty simple though... run around in circles until you gather up all the monsters in one spot, then start spamming a and keep hitting them until they all die. all i was doing was spamming a, and i had like a 300+ hit combo killing like 8 things at once, and there was nothing they could do lol.
