I would rather have a shitty watered down pseudo-universal healthcare plan that congress would let Obama pass than the total government surveilance that McCain is going for.
I dislike Obama quite a bit (gun bans, affirmative action, etc.) but he is, right now, the lesser of three evils.

As it stands, i still can't quite choose between the two. I'm still leaning a little bit more towards Obama though, there's just something about that guy.

More change than what McCain (aka Bush 2) has :dunno:
As i said, still can't decide between both candidates...both are pretty lackluster.

draft ftmflDon't get me wrong, I hate McCain (and Obama) and think the draft is unconstitutional, but I think it's going to take something that major to get people politically active--and by that I mean voting on issues instead of who's the most handsome, best speaker, or has the best catch phrases.
Right now id go with obama. mcCains been in a 25 plus year senator. Think he owes alot of people
but
My biggest thing is the illegal immigrant shit . Arizona still has no fence keeping those fucks out, McCains fail in that makes me vote obama.
Im a registered republican also

again, internets say DEM, rest of country says REP
I would be happy with either of em, but I lean towards McCain.
But VP really means a lot to me. If McCain doesnt pick someone I like, then forget about it cause he is really old. If Obama picks hilary or someone gay, then I wouldnt vote for them.
But I am fine with obama or McCain.

but if a dem gets in office and turns us into socolists maybe people will wake the fuck up and really "change" shit.
Whoever has the most ambiguous platform tends to win, not to mention democrats control congress. Obama's change is about as ambiguous as you can get. History tells us that is the path to success

Mcain will win because Obama is black. At this point I hate everyone and will not vote. Obama is going to win my state anyways.
McCain
Obama has already showed his inability to handle military conflict. He isn't even in office and he said he would not hesitate one of our few remaining allies in the middle east
Two problems with that:
1) Its our fucking ally
2) If you are going to do it, don't blow your fucking cover
along with that, i hate the following:
1) ridiculous gun bans
2) socialized medice
3) further enforcement of affirmative action

McCain. The people in this country need a wake up call and nothing spells wake-the-fuck-up like D-R-A-F-T.
This is some of the most backwards logic I've ever read. You believe that voting for McCain will instill a draft that will consequently 'wake people up politically'? If anything this is an oxymoron / joke. It would seem that the scenario you've given would be a result of people not waking up in time and the draft being a negative affect of such 'sleep'. If there's a 'time to wake up' it is now before the general election.
One thing a draft will do is send quite a few young Americans off to fight in wars that the overall population currently shuns. How do you justify this?
Given the current situation we are in that has resulted from a general conservative ideology being the backbone of the major influential (and seemingly negative) decisions made by our government over the past 8 years, you would think people would have 'woken up' enough to want a change of party.

The Dems have "taken charge" of Congress, and have been Bush's little bitches.
Change of party? They're both fucking us, just in different positions.

Change of party? They're both fucking us, just in different positions.
So if we take that to be true, do you believe a vote for McCain or Obama would be a start in the right direction?
We have seen the power of congress (including both the dems. and rep.) make changes contrasting the current administrations stances. For example:
http://www.csmonitor.com/2006/0306/p01s04-uspo.html
We still must look at what it means to have a certain political ideology making the decisions out of the white house and not forget the countless
decisions that have been made (sometimes in contrast to congressional opinion as shown above) whether it be the appointing of certain secretarial leaders, or movements to go to war, all coming out of the white house, all being based on a conservative ideology, and all later negatively critiqued and abhored by both parties and the general populace.
Although you have a point I truly hope its conclusion is not one of apathy, this is a great country and we the people can get it back on the right track.

He isnt muslim and is far from it. He was drinking beer on national tv, he goes to church. I dont think you can hell him a muslim because he was raised around muslims. I was raised around christians my whole life, but that has no impact on my religious beliefs. admitting that he understands Islam is something this country should be proud of, atleast he knows what a sunni and a shia is...he will do a better job than the old man.
But my point is, that you are probably racist against him because hes black, but you cant say that; so you say hes muslim, because its easier to hate on a muslim than a black man in america.

Bro, I don't have to fall back on not voting for him "because he's black" since I have listed at least three things that are despicable and not fitting of a US president.

Judging by a good 70% of the responses I'm reading, it appears everyone has an opinion on both of the candidates yet have little to any knowledge of what each of them represent. Can more of you elaborate of why you're not voting for Obama because he's popular and a nigger, and why you're not voting for McCain because he's Old, and "like Bush" (whatever the fuck that means)

1. You say because "he's muslim" -- I'm sad you even call yourself American for this racist comment.
2. He has ties to a "terrorist" -- who might that be? I haven't hear about this.
3. He went to a "racist church" -- Bush was an Alky and a Snow monkey, but he was even re-elected.

I make my decisions by Foreign Policy. I would rather have a president who will want to make the world a more safer place by engaging those who would make it otherwise. If diplomacy doesnt work then we can talk about military options.
I will not vote for mccain for one important reason, how could he not know hat the fuck i si the difference between a shia and a sunni muslim.

40% of NNgers voted McCain... who votes republican and who votes democratic? Old people vote republican, they don't post on this board. Even 40% of the young voters, on this board and if all can actually vote, are going republican instead of democratic.

a nonewbs poll isn't exactly scientific and in no way reflects the attitude of young people through out the country. Any true and self respecting republican would be voting 3rd party.

First off... save the sob "any true republican" sob stories. Second off I was only using this poll as an example, it's well known the young, poor, and black vote democratic... not that there is anything wrong with that, just the truth.

Truth, but now there's no real "Republican" party to choose; the lines are blurred, and roles have reversed in the last decade or so.
Sadly, the same situation is true on the other side of the aisle. Evidently, when one gets elected to office, it is required they check their spine at the door...
